17th of May 2013 I graduated as a Jivamukti Yoga Teacher. Last night I taught a special anniversary class here in Lisbon in a space I created myself. Jivamukti Yoga truly is my everything. It transformed me and I see it transform others all the time. It is incredible to see the effect this method, this practice can have & how grateful we all should be that we have this method. ALL GLORY TO SHARON GANNON & DAVID LIFE founders of Jivamukti Yoga for giving us these teachings. Last night I read to the students the easy I wrote to Sharon 6 years ago…… it is amazing that everything I set myself out to be became reality.

Let me share a few bits from this essay with you.
Jivamukti Yoga has given me the opportunity to reinvent myself, to restore my energy, soul, heart and mind it has given me the space and practice to go through all that. I feel so much lighter, happier and most of all in my body. I am in such a great headspace because of it, hence why I want to become a teacher, just the simple fact that I can give this gift to others, because like Paul Watson and Margaret Mead I believe in the power of the individual to quote: “A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead. That’s just the power you can have as an individual, let alone the difference you can make constantly and significantly as a Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, I just want to spread the message of love, truth and encourage people to not just say the words but live them. I think I will be a very dynamic teacher, actively calm, calmly active, encouraging and inspiring others, bringing the gift and strong ethical message of Jivamukti all over the world, that’s what I want to do, I hope to return to Sydney after Teacher Training to teach in Sydney and set up special Jivamukti Yoga events all over Australia and hopefully the world.
And here I am. 6 years after writing this. I now have been teaching in Lisbon for nearly 2 years. I have taught in 9 countries, over 20 different cities and 3 continents. I have been spreading this method all over the world as much as I can and I will continue to do this for as long as I can. Lisa (my best friend & business partner) and I had some celebrating cake after class last night & she told me to be proud, to really take a moment here and embrace all this, all I have build, all I have created and that all I do comes from my own drive. I did this. All of this. That is what I am celebrating today. Thank you Lisa for loving me & my classes so much.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my dear dear teachers for all they have given me & provided me with. For their ever ongoing inspiration & motivation. A special thank you for Mick Barnes. (Yoga Factory Sydney) I would not be the teacher today if it wasnt for you. Students past, present & future all we have shared, all we are still to share…… having a continuous dialogue with all of you & being able to share these beautiful teachings with you means the absolute world to me, all of you are Holy Beings who I hold so very close to my heart. I feel blessed. I feel grateful. I feel proud! 5 years. 50 more please……
