Cycle in Cinema Sydney

It is a given that I have always my whole life been a hardcore pedal power chick being Dutch and all but now I can fairly say that I TRULY am. I have just returned from Sydney back to the island I call home (Hobart) after an amazing weekend with an amazing hardcore pedal power crew working for CYCLE IN CINEMA, run by Magnificent Revolution Australia. SUCH great fun! It makes such a difference to work on a gig/event you truly support, to work with like-minded people & bring greatness to the people, for me it has been an absolute honor to be part of this fantastic event & I am DETERMINED to help get this event all over Australia, Hobart to be the first next stop! STAY TUNED!

CYCLE IN CINEMA IS:

Imagine a Drive In Cinema without the cars! This pedal powered cinema system uses 8 bikes and 16 legs to power a 4000 Lumen projector and 400W of audio equipment for screening films or projections. The system is very flexible; the bicycles can be arranged in a variety of formations. It’s such a fantastic project, bringing together communities & people in such a creative, productive, sustainable way, cycling is a culture which to me is still very “underground” here in Australia so events like Cycle in Cinema are very important for the cycle infrastructure in Australia & to get cycling on a wider, scaled map.I think Australia is more then ready for this Magnificent Cycle Revolution! Bring it on!
